Thanks, Mouza Bakhit! Glad you enjoyed the piece. It was Abdul’s opinion that there are double standards in the way westerners are treated versus other expats. But I agree with you — I dont think that means that westerners can act with impunity (esp. not when it comes to sex). That’s a big part of why my time there was rather stressful.
